Our Interview with Dr. Kevin Roberts
In which I ask the President of the Heritage Foundation about AI and foreign policy.
Recently, some of us from The Texas Horn had the privilege to sit down with Kevin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation, for an interview. We had a lot of good questions on policy, political philosophy, and the future of the conservative movement. While I would recommend reading the entire thing, I would especially recommend reading my questions on AI and foreign policy.
For the former, I ask fairly standard questions about existential risk from AI. His response was broad, but informative nonetheless. One foreign policy, Heritage has often been accused of being inconsistent in their positions related to the situations in Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, so I asked for his thoughts on the underlying philosophy to his approach to these conflicts, on which he gave a very insightful answer.
Also worth highlighting was the question from Ethan, one of our newest correspondents, regarding the difference between conservatism and libertarianism; and of course Amber, Zach, and Garrit had good questions as well.
